On September 13 2012, 55 Talbalba bulls sold to $22000 and averaged $7563. Top price was Lot 42 Talbalba Zillmere, sired by Talbalba Vampire, who sold to the Hollis family, Lotus Hereford Stud, Pinkette. They also purchased Lot 15 Talbalba Zeal for $18000. Talbalba sired bulls have topped the annual Lotus sale for the last 2 years.

Second top of $18500 was for Lot 10 Talbalba Zephyr, by Cootharaba Magnum, to the Dawson family, Spottswood, Moura. The Dawsons also purchased Lot 20, Talbalba Zigzag, for $14000. Also returning for a stud sire were Scott and Pip Hann, Truro Stud, who purchased Talbalba Zinnia, by Magnum, for $18000 in conjunction with Ashmar Herefords, Gloucester.

Purchasing for the first time were Bill and Marcia Moore, Nowley Pastoral, Burren Junction, who secured Zodiac, by Vampire, for $11000 and Zipman, by Bowmont Storn C115, for $16000. Wallen Creek stud purchased 2 bulls for $12000 each, Zack by Magnum and Zionist by Storm C115. Lambert Pastoral, who have had a number of successful Talbalba sires, purchased Zombie, by Storm C115, for $10000 to go to Charleville. Kinbombi purchased 2 @ $9000, Bjorksten family 2 @ $9250 av, Buckinbah 4 @ $7500, Westen Creek, 6 @ 5920. Tim Sloman purchased a Storm son for $10000 and Chris Lisle another Storm for $8000.
